January 2006.   The vast Changning library in Shanghai is under construction with the help of FIXATOR ASIA suspended platforms.

The French company Fixator, a specialist in the manufacture of temporary suspended platforms, was keen to go global by setting up business in China. FIXATOR ASIA was founded as a joint venture with TECHNOCHINA, a specialist in industrial subcontracting in China, (65% Fixator – 35% TECHNOCHINA). As the President of Fixator, Bruno Patron, states: “We need partners who are fully up to date with Chinese commercial and industrial practices and customs.” TECHNOCHINA, with 10 years of experience in the Chinese industrial world, was the ideal partner to help launch the new subsidiary.

FIXATOR ASIA, based in Shanghai and under the supervision of TECHNOCHINA, manufactures temporary platforms used in the construction of high-rise buildings or large blocks of flats. Since business started a year ago, the company has expanded and now has 12 employees (including a French Managing Director and Technical Manager) and has sold several contracts in China and Hong Kong.
Today FIXATOR ASIA suspended platforms can be seen on site as a result of the first big Chinese contract: those used in the construction of the Changning library in Shanghai.

The future of FIXATOR ASIA certainly looks promising. Thanks to the expertise of TECHNOCHINA and the reputation of FIXATOR in the production of double aluminium platforms, the subsidiary was able to land the contract for the WORLD FINANCIAL CENTER in Pudong, the high-rise which in 2007 will be THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD. Finally, FIXATOR ASIA is on its way to signing contracts in Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. To be continued…
